Hello and welcome to my ePortfolio! I designed my ePortfolio to establish a platform to facilitate information and resource sharing with the broader professional community related to my professional passions and the health of Canadian populations.
I am an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) in a new and innovative Geriatric Oncology Program, in a Regional Cancer Center in Canada.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), I work with an interdisciplinary team to enhance cancer care delivery to the older adult population with cancer by conducting specialized comprehensive geriatric assessments, providing recommendations to the oncology care team for personalized cancer treatment plans, and developing enhanced supportive care plans to prevent treatment toxicity and increase tolerance to cancer treatment for older adults.
I collaboratively manage the care of older adults with cancer with my geriatric oncology clinical team and the broader multidisciplinary oncology care team. I develop and deliver geriatric oncology education to nurses in the ambulatory settings, and strive to advance nursing knowledge, competence and practices in the area of geriatric oncology. I am committed to the health and well-being of all my clients and hope to make a difference in their health care experience.

I value working in challenging clinical settings which reinforces critical examination of care delivery models, and drives my passion for quality improvement initiates aimed at improving nursing practice and care delivery for vulnerable populations, who often encounter barriers in accessing care.
